Position Type: Full-Time / Field Operations (All Shifts / "Road Warrior" Travel)
Compensation: $30.00 – $40.00 / hour (Open to negotiation based on experience)
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled, safety-minded Drilling Service Technician to join our oilfield rentals and services team in the Permian Basin. In this role, you will be responsible for the mobilization, installation, testing, and maintenance of specialized surface rental equipment, including manual/automated chokes, mud/gas separators, flare stacks, and associated pressure control tools.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of wellhead environments, and hands-on experience with hydrostatic pressure testing

Equipment Installation & Rig‑Up: Install, rig up, and maintain specialized rental equipment (chokes, auto‑chokes, mud/gas separators, flare stacks) on active drilling sites.
Pressure & Wellhead Testing: Conduct comprehensive hydrostatic pressure tests on manifolds, valves, and connection lines to ensure total system integrity and safety compliance before operations begin.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues with equipment in the field using hand/power tools and technical manuals.
Operations Monitoring: Monitor equipment performance and pressure parameters during active operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate field service logs, test charts, maintenance reports, and equipment inspection records.
Client Relations: Provide exceptional customer service on‑site by directly addressing client inquiries and representing the company professionally.
Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to all HSE protocols, job safety analyses (JSAs), and company safety guidelines.
Skills Required:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and pressure testing of oilfield equipment (specifically chokes, separators, or flare stacks).
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with hand/power tools; ability to read and interpret technical manuals, flow diagrams, and pressure charts.Physical & Travel Adaptability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in harsh outdoor weather conditions, and adapt to a "Road Warrior" lifestyle with flexible shift rotations (days, nights, weekends).
Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience as a Wellhead Test Technician or MPD Assistant.
Strong background in mechanical systems, hydraulics, or construction trades.
Existing oilfield safety certifications (Safe Land/PEC, H2S Clear).
