REPORTS TO: Facility Control & Compliance Supervisor and Plumbing Foreman
SUPERVISES:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Prior work related experience and knowledge related to the plumbing craft.
Position Function /
Purpose:
To provide daily maintenance and repair of plumbing and associated equipment at all district facilities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Works with the plumbing foreman and F.C.C.S. Supervisor regarding progress of daily work orders & projects
- Works with all other maintenance departments
- Follows instructions and must be flexible in changing work assignments
- Demonstrate experience in all phases of plumbing repair and service of boilers, pumps, water heaters, water coolers and other standard plumbing fixtures (i.e., sewers, fixtures, piping, etc.)
- Able to work independently to complete assigned plumbing related work orders and make needed repairs
- Must have the ability to plan and complete construction modifications to district plumbing systems
- Perform other duties as assigned by Facility Control & Compliance Supervisor, Plumbing Foreman, and Executive Director of School Plant Services
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum Certification/
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record; must adhere to Midland ISD’s vehicle safety and use program
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Knowledge of City Plumbing Codes
- Knowledge of boilers operations in service
Minimum Experience:
- 3 to 5 years experience with a plumbing company
