Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly

The Shop Hand supports technicians and keeps the shop clean and organized as directed by the Service Foreman.

• Shop Maintenance:
  Sweeping floors, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the workspace is free of hazards.
• Material Handling:
  Loading, unloading, and safely moving heavy equipment, supplies, or parts.
• Inventory Management:
  Organizing tools, tracking supplies, and restocking items.
• Equipment Support:
  Assisting technicians by cleaning parts, fetching specific hand or power tools, and preparing work areas.
• Basic Repairs:
  Performing routine maintenance on facility equipment or assisting with minor mechanical troubleshooting under supervision.
• Other responsibilities as designated by and at the discretion of management.

• High School Diploma or GED required. A technical school certificate in related field such as Automotive/Diesel Technology, or Welding/Fabrication is a plus.
• Some experience in an Automotive or Diesel shop environment preferred.
• Valid license and clean driving record.
• Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
• Familiarity with basic hand/power tools.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining an orderly and safe working environment.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs., and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
