Service & Installation Technician
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for operating commercial, residential and light industrial water treatment systems. This position requires the skills to successfully install water softeners and/or filtration systems, also provide preventive maintenance as required.
- Full Time Monday through Friday
- Willing to be on routine on-call shifts

Duties and responsibilities include general onsite and offsite equipment installation, service, start-up, commissioning, testing, and training for various types of water treatment equipment across industries; field service goals and timely equipment start-ups and cost control for onsite time and materials needed to complete a project; equipment and operational support to the Service Manager on the shop floor with equipment refurbishments, buildouts, rental returns, and testing of equipment for final delivery or inventory storage;
locating sources of problems by observing and testing systems operation; removing defective parts by dismantling equipment; maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies on truck; providing system information to customers; maintaining technical knowledge; maintaining safe and clean working environment; contributing to team effort; assuring service vehicle is clean, safe and in proper operation condition always; communicating with office staff frequently to ensure job accuracy and data entry;
using handheld devices for data entry, schedule maintenance, etc.
Requirements include high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or five to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; certificates, licenses and registrations required: valid driver's license, water licensing preferred, plumbing licenses preferred; other skills required: basic plumbing and electrical experience; experience in Plumbing, Water Treatment, Industrial Operations, or Mechanical Field Service; mechanically inclined.

Physical demands and work environment include standing, walking, sitting, utilizing hand and finger dexterity, and hearing; climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; occasionally work near moving mechanical parts; occasionally work in high, precarious places; occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions; noise level in the work environment is usually quiet-moderate; lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds;
specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus; occasionally will work in confined spaces; use of power tools, possible forklift, and handheld devices.
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
