We're hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a direct-hire role with a growing industrial operation. Requirements:
- 5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.
- Strong background in diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Experience servicing wheeled heavy equipment (forklifts, loaders, trucks, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with CAT, John Deere, Hyster, Ottawa, Terberg, or similar equipment preferred.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Mechanical or electrical certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Job Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Repair and maintain forklifts, trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, and other wheeled industrial equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, parts manuals, and technical service documents.
- Utilize maintenance tracking systems/software to document repairs, parts usage, and service history.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment service records.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Support uptime and reliability of critical equipment in an industrial environment.
Benefits:
- $35.00 – $38.00/hour DOE
