Plumbing Helper
As a Plumbing Helper, you will be responsible for operating commercial, residential and light industrial water treatment systems. This position requires the skills to successfully install water softeners and/or filtration systems, also provide preventive maintenance as required. Must have a mechanical aptitude and must be willing to learn on an ongoing basis. Must be dependable, organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities include safe operation of a company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal DOT laws, abiding by all company policies while following safety procedures, performing complete diagnostics on commercial and residential water treatment equipment, providing scheduled maintenance on water treatment equipment, identifying additional services that may be required and presenting all options to the consumer, representing Culligan through direct interaction with customers, completing basic installation and removal of water treatment equipment, assembling pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, installing pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves for water treatment equipment, measuring, cutting, threading, or bending pipe to the required angle using hand or power tools or machines, and reviewing blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, appropriate, valid driver's license, 5 years experience in either residential/commercial/industrial HVAC, 3 years experience in either residential/commercial/industrial plumbing, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, drive for extended periods (2-3 hours), knowledge of the surrounding area where you would be working, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written), and the ability to kneel/bend for extended periods of time.

Physical demands and work environment include standing, walking, sitting, utilizing hand and finger dexterity, and hearing; climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling; occasionally required to taste or smell; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather); occasionally work near moving mechanical parts; occasionally work in high, precarious places; occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions; occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather);
while performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet-moderate; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds / frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds / continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; color vision;
peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus; occasionally will work in confined spaces; use of power tools, possible forklift, and handheld devices.
