Operates and maintains the Gas Detection Systems and Breathing Air Safety Equipment based drilling rig or production sites where various work is being performed where there is a potential for or an anticipated release of H2S. Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities include Rigging up/Rigging Down Gas Detection Systems, Monitoring Breathing Air Systems, On-Site Safety Supervision, Completing Daily JSA, Sign In Sheets, Field Tickets, time sheets and all Ampro and Customer documentation associated with assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

Calibrates gas detection equipment;
Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment. Must be able to work safely and follow all Company and Customer policies and procedures. Ensures that all Cascade Air Banks are charged and online. Ensures that all 5, 10 and/or 30 minutes SCBA's are functional and fully charged. May assist with inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling and testing shop equipment, SCBA's, manifolds, regulators, hoses and other safety equipment.

May stock shelves with clean, tested and ready to use equipment and pull, stage, and load equipment for jobs. Must maintains work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition. Works continually to keep equipment clean and respiration masks sanitized. Maintains running inventory of location and availability of safety equipment. Performs basic maintenance and care of assigned vehicle and/or trailer.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience as an H2S technician. Certifications and Training: H2S Certification, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND First aid training preferred. Must have a Valid License and Clean Driving Record and be an acceptable drive by our insurance provider.
