Frac Watch Operator

Overview

The Frac Watch Operator is responsible for monitoring hydraulic fracturing (frac) operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Professional, safety-oriented field personnel with hands‑on experience supporting active frac operations, including pre‑frac rig‑up and post‑frac rig‑down activities. The ability to adapt to changing wellsite conditions, troubleshoot frac pressure control equipment, and optimize operational performance.

• Monitor frac operations using real‑time data systems and surveillance tools.
• Observe pressure levels, flow rates, and fluid volumes to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate with field personnel, engineers, and supervisors regarding any anomalies or potential hazards.
• Document and report operational data, safety concerns, and incidents accurately.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of frac pressure control equipment and notify appropriate personnel of any required maintenance.
• Support emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and industry best practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or industry‑specific training preferred.
• Previous experience in hydraulic fracturing, well‑site monitoring, or oilfield operations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret real‑time data.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of oilfield safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as frac operations require.
• Proficiency with computers and monitoring software is an advantage.

• Operators often need to lift heavy equipment and work long hours, sometimes in strenuous conditions.
• Ability to navigate uneven terrain, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Long shifts, sometimes in extreme weather conditions, require physical and mental stamina.
• Good eyesight is essential for spotting potential hazards and monitoring equipment.
• Skills in handling tools and operating machinery with precision.
