The Pumpdown Supervisor w/ CDL is a full-time, on-site role based in Midland, TX. This role oversees daily pumpdown operations, ensuring equipment is properly prepared, transported, rigged up, operated, and rigged down according to company procedures and safety standards. The Pumpdown Supervisor coordinates with field crews, customers, and dispatch to schedule jobs, monitor operational performance, and resolve issues in real time.
Responsibilities include supervising pumpdown crews, conducting pre-job safety meetings, verifying compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and maintaining accurate job documentation. The role also requires driving and operating company vehicles under CDL regulations, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment, and supporting a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency on every job.
- Field operations and supervision skills: experience overseeing pumpdown or similar oilfield operations, coordinating crews, and managing job timelines.
- Technical and mechanical skills: ability to understand pumpdown systems (Prime Controls Preferred), pressure control equipment, and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Safety and compliance skills: strong knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards, hazard identification, and adherence to company and regulatory policies.
- CDL and driving skills: valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), clean driving record, and experience operating heavy trucks and related equipment.
- Communication and teamwork skills: capacity to lead crews, communicate clearly with customers and coworkers, and document operations accurately.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills: ability to respond quickly to changing field conditions, make sound operational decisions, and manage job-related risks.
- Physical and work environment readiness: able to work outdoors in varying conditions, lift and move equipment as required, and work extended or irregular hours as needed.
- Beneficial experience and education: prior pumpdown, wireline, or pressure pumping experience; knowledge of oilfield tools and processes; high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
