This full-time, on-site Compressor Mechanic role is based in Midland, TX. The Compressor Mechanic will perform routine and preventative maintenance on compressor packages and related equipment, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and engine issues, completing top‑end repairs and overhauls, and supporting make‑ready work to ensure units are safe and operational for deployment. The role involves reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics, using diagnostic tools and standard hand and power tools, and maintaining accurate service records.
The Compressor Mechanic may also respond to call‑out service needs, support daily operations, and collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to meet customer requirements and safety standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on compressors, engines, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls on compressor packages and related systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments, including safe operation and care of equipment.
- Capacity to read and understand technical drawings, service manuals, and work orders, and to follow standard operating procedures.
- Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to company and regulatory safety guidelines in shop and field environments.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks and report findings clearly and accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, diesel technology, or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in oil and gas, midstream operations, or industrial equipment service is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on‑site in Midland, TX, including occasional overtime or call‑out coverage as needed.
