About the Role:The contract I&E Operator maintains, tests, and repairs the electrical systems, automated controls, and precision instruments for field operations. The hiring operators requirement is that no live electrical work is permitted.
Core Duties- Troubleshoot and Repair:
Fix broken electrical circuits, wiring, motors, and automated control hardware. - Calibrate Instruments:
Test and adjust pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters so readings stay accurate. - Preventative Maintenance:
Run routine checks on equipment to stop failures before they happen. - Work with Control Systems:
Monitor and service Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and SCADA automation networks.
Follow strict rules like OSHA or the National Electrical Code, and use lockout/tagout (LOTO) steps.
Requirements and Skills- Education:
High school diploma or GED; many roles prefer a technical or associate degree in electrical or instrumentation technology. - Technical Know-How:
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). - Physical Ability:
Lift heavy tools or parts (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work outdoors or in loud plant settings.

The use of a personal vehicle with all fuel, maintenance and insurance covered by employee.
Mileage @ the IRS Rate - $0.76 / mile
No paid vacation or PTO.
