Compensation Range: $52,308-$123,452 (Depending on Education and Experience)
Position DescriptionWayzata Public Schools is currently seeking a School Social Worker with the ability, skills, and training necessary to work with a broad array of students with and without disabilities in a high school setting.
Responsibilities- Consultation to special education and pre-referral intervention teams
- Parent contact
- Individual and small group support to students with social, emotional and behavioral issues
- Crisis intervention and prevention
- Social Work license from Board of Social Work and Board of Teaching required.
- Master’s Degree in School Social Work required.
- LICSW Preferred.
- Training and skill in working with diverse populations is desirable.
- Experience and willingness to work on general education teams and provide collaborative special education services with general education teachers is required.
- Interest in and ability to relate well to secondary school students with and without disabilities.
- Experience working with youth with substance abuse and mental health concerns
