Position Summary
A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. Additionally, the driver must ensure vehicle compliance with the company’s safety standards, adhere to all applicable regulations, and complete vehicle condition reports daily.
Principal Responsibilities- Perform pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
- Report safety issues on standard reports.
- Safely operate the truck along the designated route to the disposal site, following route sheets, maps, and dispatch assignments.
- Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
- Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service.
- Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per departmental procedures.
- Continuously monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean up any spills in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain vehicle condition, clean waste from the packer blade and truck body where appropriate, and minimize downtime.
- Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports.
- Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies.
- Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

- Professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co‑workers.
- Honesty and trustworthiness.
- Good time‑management skills to complete duties efficiently and safely.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and promote safety standards.
- Pride in work and commitment to achieving goals.
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
