Position Summary
The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or goods. This position requires adherence to all applicable Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and company policies. The driver must maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism, and compliance at all times.
Basic Employee Responsibilities

- Being responsible – on time for work and taking breaks during designated times.
- Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed.
- Support interdepartmental workflow by coordinating effectively with purchasing, warehouse, pump shop, and operations teams.
- Demonstrate accountability by managing time effectively and meeting workflow expectations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending enhancements to inventory processes or workplace organization.
Position Specific Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Transport materials, equipment, and goods to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and records in accordance with Department of Transportation compliance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Obtain and maintain all required DOT certifications, medical certifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with DOT hours-of-service requirements and participate in required drug and alcohol testing programs.
- Follow company safety procedures and guidelines at all times, maintaining a high standard of safety, professionalism, and compliance.
- Safely load, secure, and transport materials and equipment to prevent damage and ensure safe delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and other departments regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and transportation issues.
- Support intercompany transportation requirements and adapt to varying schedules, travel demands, and operational needs.
- Operate effectively in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions while maintaining safe driving practices.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT certification.
- Must comply with all DOT regulations and requirements, including medical examinations and drug/alcohol testing.
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to pass background checks as required.
- Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to work in various weather and environmental conditions.
