Commercial Driver
Job Summary The Commercial Driver has a Class A Commercial's Driver's License (CDL-A), safely drives units day or night in all weather conditions and complies with all safety regulations.
- Safely and legally drive company owned units day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions (occasionally over long distances)
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment each job
- Accurately maintain driver logs
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Follow instructions and complete the required training
- Work variable schedule to meet business needs
- Maintain and utilize required safety equipment
- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience, required
- Maintaining a valid and current CDL-A and a clean driving record, required
- Minimum 21 years of age, required
- Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, required
- Able to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). drug test and physical examination, required
- Able to pass a road test, required
- Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions, required
- Able to perform Pre- and Post-trip Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) inspection, required
- Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, must be able to read, write, speak, and follow directions in English
