EXPERIENCE:

Position Function/Purpose

Receive, store, inventory and dispense all equipment or parts held in the Maintenance Warehouse, Transportation Warehouse, and Textbook Warehouse. Maintain accurate warehouse inventories.

Major Responsibilities

1. Complete receiving/shipping reports, schedules and delivery sheets

2. Maintain warehouse inventory; ensure proper stock rotation

3. Receives and checks in freight

4. Stacks supply lines

5. Fills shipping orders

6. Maintains computerized inventory

7. Receives and distributes automotive supplies

8. Assist IM Coordinator with distributing textbooks to campuses

9. Coordinates and verifies computerized inventory with the Procurement Supervisor

10. Coordinates with Internal Auditor

11. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education/Certification:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Valid Texas driver's license

3. Possess Class B CDL

Special Knowledge/Skills:

1. Good organizational skills

2. Good communication skills

3. Have prior experience in computerized central warehouse inventory systems

4. Ability to work with various departments in assessing priorities for program

compliance

5. Positive attitude among district personnel and demonstrate a willingness to work

6. Ability to work with vendors on negotiating unit costs for mass volume inventory

items

Minimum Experience:

1. One year warehouse experience in organizing, operating, and maintaining a large

Volume inventory operation

Physical Demands

1. Heavy lifting in excess of 100 lbs.

2. Heavy carrying in excess of 50 lbs.

3. Use of fingers

4. Standing and walking (8 hours per day)

5. Reaching above shoulders

6. Operation of motor vehicle

1. Forklift/hand operated pallet jack

2. District pick-up delivery truck
