Hanes Geo Components (HGC), a division of Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG), is a national supplier of geotextiles, erosion control products, and construction site soil stabilization materials.
Our company location in Midland, TX is seeking a Warehouse Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Able to operate office equipment
- Able to operate lift trucks
- Forklift Certified
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and bar-coded inventory using an RF Scanner
- Must have cooperative attitude necessary to work effectively with others
- Good communication skills (verbal & written)
- Must be able to follow verbal & written instructions
- Commitment to Management System and continual improvement process
- All employees have the responsibility to identify and stop further processing of non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality system
- All employees must take action to prevent nonconformities related to the product produced, service provided, or the Management system
- All employees have the responsibility to bring forth suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions
- Manage warehouse inventory through accurate shipping/receiving and weekly cycle counts
- Count incoming inventory for accuracy and creating inventory tickets
- Load/unload trucks
- Lead/assign warehouse staff in daily tasks and ensure they stay on task
- Prepare and complete all shipping documents
- Keep warehouse organized and clean
- Scheduling carriers to pick up freight
- Ensure every piece of freight is accounted for and tagged
- Ensure all freight is located in its proper place
- Utilize warehouse space correctly
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace
- Participate in the continuous quality process
- Conform to all quality/safety requirements and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by Department Supervisor
