Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. The therapist is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline‑specific therapy services for those assigned patients. The role ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities, serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, and performs other professional duties associated with patient care and therapy services development.

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
  • Document medical records clearly, concisely, and timely, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
  • Create individualized professional development plans and actively pursue growth through continuing education and self‑study.
  • Adhere to discipline‑specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
  • Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and actively contribute to maximizing performance outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience, with a focus on outpatient orthopedics.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Active license for the state where work will be performed.
