Maintenance Technician- Shift Repairman

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- SHIFT REPAIRMAN to join our Midlothian, TX plant. As a Maintenance Technician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be performing maintenance on equipment necessary for the manufacturing of cement.

• Inspect plant process machinery and provide recommendations for repair.
• Install & repair plant process machinery.
• Operate equipment such as boom lifts, cranes, forklifts, and other related mobile equipment.
• Must be able to work rotating shift schedule.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in the maintenance of heavy process machinery, in the cement industry, is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.
• Must be able to read & understand operations and maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Must place their personal safety and others safety as no. 1 priority.
• Must be able to utilize various measuring devices (micrometers, square, level, etc.).
• Must be able to exhibit competence in shielded arc welding & flame cutting.
• Must be able to read gauges & keep accurate records of operating procedures and maintenance history.
• Must have knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to repair and rebuild plant equipment with little or no supervision.
• Knowledgeable of MSHA standards and requirements.
• Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours).
