Lancer Laborer

Responsibilities

• Cutting & Shaping Steel:
  Use oxygen/gas lances or plasma cutters to cut scrap steel plates or other steel products to precise sizes.
• Lancing & Cleaning:
  Employ high‑pressure air lances to remove slag, scale, and debris from steel surfaces, ensuring they are free from imperfections.
• Inspection & Preparation:
  Check raw materials and finished products for quality and readiness for further processing.
• Maintenance:
  Maintain and troubleshoot cutting and lancing tools/equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Safety Compliance:
  Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures as this position is performed outside and on a rotating schedule.

• Some experience with Oxygen/Gas Torch.
