Heavy Equipment Operator Utility

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator Utility to join our Midlothian, TX plant. As a Heavy Equipment Operator Utility with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will operate, lubricate, and help maintain heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates and lubricates heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Helps maintain heavy equipment.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in work areas.
  • Spotting and unloading railcars.
  • Inspects belts and feeders.
  • Cleans spills using jackhammer, shovel, and broom.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on the equipment.
  • Report any needed repairs to the supervisor.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in plant clean-up.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

We Require:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.
  • Must be able to read and write to complete required daily reports.
  • Must have good communication skills one on one.
  • Must have good communications skills using a two-way radio.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to remain seated in equipment for up to 12 hrs/day.
  • Must be able to lift 40-100 lbs. (wheelbarrow loaded and unloaded).
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to operate equipment safely.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must keep safety above all else.
