About
The Role
Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Waxahachie is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Telemetry team. This role supports inpatient nursing care with a focus on telemetry monitoring and pre/post procedural cardiac care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring
Provide pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac and vascular patients
Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold BSWH standards of care
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-Time (36 hours/week)
3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Inpatient hospital setting with cardiac-focused care

Required Qualifications
Experience in telemetry and inpatient nursing care
Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular patient care
Ability to assess and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
Active RN license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with post-cath sheath management
Knowledge of immediate post-procedure care

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
