Summary:Responsible for operating forklifts and cherry pickers to unload materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and picking product for shipment.
Duties:- Must be able to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Accurately pick parts throughout the warehouse.
- Weigh product using the proper scales.
- Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy.
- Accurately pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer.
- Responsible for reading customer order notes and filling the order with any special customer requirements.
- Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies.
- Assist in counting physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed.
- Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues.
- Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1+ years of related job experience preferred.
RF handheld experience preferred.
Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
Strong proficiency in English communication including reading, writing, and verbal interactions are required for complying with safety protocols and operational procedures.
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above should height and below the waist. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.
