We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily on-site supervision, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily on-site construction activities and ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractors, labor crews, and vendors to maintain project schedules and productivity.
- Coordinate and maintain positive relationships with project owners, site occupants, inspectors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit daily reports documenting project progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and site conditions.
- Communicate project updates, progress, and issues to the Project Manager on a daily basis.
- Review and maintain project schedules, identifying and addressing delays or potential risks proactively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Review submittals, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure all required insurance certificates and project documentation are properly submitted and maintained.
- Coordinate with inspectors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project and code requirements.
- Respond quickly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other on-site challenges.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documents accurately.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising commercial construction projects in the field.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules effectively.
- Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Candidates must include a detailed project list highlighting notable commercial construction projects completed as a Superintendent.
