About the Position
A Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician opportunity is available in Midlothian, VA , providing clinic and inpatient coverage within a high-risk obstetrics practice. This role supports coverage during a recruitment period and involves managing a predominantly high-risk pregnancy population (approximately 95%) .
The physician will perform advanced MFM procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, cerclage (preferred), and management of pre-eclampsia, multiple gestation, fetal growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and other complex maternal-fetal conditions . The practice includes onsite ultrasound services and multidisciplinary clinical support. EMR system utilized is Epic.
Shift Timings:
Monday–Friday clinic: 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Weekday night call
24-hour weekend call coverage
Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine (Required)
Completed MFM Fellowship (Required)
Active Virginia Medical License (Required)
Active BLS Certification (Required)
AIUM Certification (Preferred)
Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days)
Submission to all associated required job postings
