Locum Tenens Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician opportunity in Midlothian, VA — provide high-risk pregnancy care and perinatology services in the Richmond metro area. Join a collaborative team for a 13-week contract beginning March 16, 2026.

Mon–Fri clinic coverage (8:00am–4:15pm), nightly call on weekdays, 24-hour weekend call coverage
Shift Duration: 8 Hour Any
Hours per Week: 40
Duration: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)

Estimated Weekly Pay: $7,050–$8,350
Job Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)
Completion of Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship
Active Virginia (VA) medical license
BLS certification
AIUM Certification preferred
Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of application
Minimum 1 year of experience in maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies (approximately 95% of practice) including perinatology and fetal medicine services
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures: amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, cerclage (preferred), and management of pre-eclampsia, growth restriction, pre-term labor, multiple pregnancy, and congenital/chromosomal abnormalities
Manage maternal hypertension, thrombophilia, genetic disorders, and other complex obstetric conditions
Attend vaginal and cesarean births as needed; participate in inpatient and outpatient coverage
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office staff
Utilize onsite ultrasound and GE 10 office equipment for fetal assessment
Document patient care using EPIC and Viewpoint EMR systems
Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage and support the practice during the recruitment period
No supervision of other healthcare providers required
