Progressive Design, Inc. (PDI) is currently seeking a Project Controls Administrator. This is a full‑time position that will preferably be located onsite; if you are driveable to the Richmond, VA area we will consider a hybrid role.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities- Demonstrate deep understanding of project control best practices.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 software.
- Prepare detailed activity summaries, resource plans, and project status reports according to the PDI Standard.
- Comfortable engaging with senior members of PDI, clients, and other third parties.
- Able to work up to 60 hours per week based on client demands.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and forecasts using Oracle Primavera P6 and other project tools.
- Support Earned Value Management (EVM), progress measurement, and variance analysis.
- Prepare drafts of monthly progress reports.
- Track and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Use processes and tools established on projects.
- Develop and assist in preparation of schedules.
- Prepare various reports.
- Demonstrate understanding of project control tools.
- Assist in schedule baseline and schedule update reviews.
- Assist in cost estimate development and review.
- Provide support with development, monitoring, and execution of constructability/bid reviews, construction schedule, schedule impact analysis, contract change/work order, project risk analysis, project records and contract administration, and other assigned elements.
- Manage project information, including hard‑copy and electronic files.
- Coordinate information flow between project team and client.
- Attend project meetings and prepare detailed minutes of meetings.
- Develop presentations based on input from project team members.
- Prepare new project start‑up documents per project and quality procedures, including development of schedules and level of effort estimates.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project coordination with a consulting/engineering firm.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long‑ and short‑term tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- This is an onsite position.
