Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our ASC team. The Endoscopy Tech plays a key role in assisting physicians and nurses during GI endoscopic procedures, maintaining equipment, preparing procedure rooms, and supporting overall clinical workflow.

This position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in a clinical setting, and a commitment to patient safety and infection prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurses with endoscopic procedures, including equipment setup, operation, and specimen collection.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stocked, functional, and compliant with infection control standards.
  • Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes and instruments following established guidelines (including high‑level disinfection protocols).
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for equipment reprocessing and tracking.
  • Transport equipment, specimens, and supplies between procedure rooms as needed.
  • Support patient care activities within scope, such as positioning, comfort measures, and prepping rooms between procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to ASC policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards (CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission).
  • Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and daily team huddles.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in endoscopy, sterile processing, or a surgical services environment strongly preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Gastroenterology Technical Specialist (CGTS) or CRCST is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing, infection control practices, and clinical equipment handling preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced ASC environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
