Locum Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent Care - Midlothian, VA

Shift: 12+ hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 3 days/week
Hours/Week: 36 hours (3 shifts per week)
Employment Type:
Locum (potential for perm transition)
Licensure/Certs: Virginia State Medical License, DEA
Experience:
Prior urgent care experience preferred
Pay & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $17.16/hr
Pay package discussed upon application

What You’ll Do:
Provide urgent care services including laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, and minor burn management
Conduct orthopedic exams, joint reductions, and splinting
Interpret X-rays, EKGs, and Point-of-Care testing results
Manage airway support and initial emergency stabilization
Document all patient interactions accurately in Epic EMR
Deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population (birth to death)
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow
What You Need:
Required:
Virginia Medical License (PA)
DEA Certification
Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience
Strong skills in suturing, I&D, splinting, and diagnostics
Preferred:
Experience working in outpatient clinics
Ability to handle a high volume of patients efficiently
Excellent communication skills

This assignment is with a leading facility in Midlothian, VA, committed to providing exceptional urgent care services. The clinic operates 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with shifts tailored to patient flow. The provider will join a supportive team dedicated to delivering prompt and effective healthcare to the community.
