Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care | Midlothian, VA | Flexible Schedule
Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in a leading facility in Midlothian, VA? - End Date/Duration: Until a permanent provider is hired (duration flexible)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, clinics open 7 days/week, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Hours/Week: 36 hours (3 shifts per week)
- Employment Type: Locum
- Licensure/Certs: Virginia Nurse Practitioner license required
- Experience: 1+ years of urgent care or outpatient NP experience
- Pay Rate: $150.00/hr (local candidates preferred; rate discussed upon application)

- Provide urgent care services, including evaluation and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses
- Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, I&D, foreign body removal, splinting, and joint reductions
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care labs
- Support airway management and emergency stabilization
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Manage a patient caseload ranging from 25 to 50 patients daily, with flexibility for higher volumes during peak seasons
- Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant urgent care or outpatient experience
- Proficiency in procedures such as suturing, I&D, and orthopedic stabilization
- Strong interpersonal and clinical skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Certification in advanced procedures or specialty areas in urgent care
