Environmental Scientist I – Staff Scientist

• Conduct field investigations and environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs)
• Collect soil, groundwater, and other environmental samples
• Assist with environmental compliance and due diligence projects
• Support stormwater inspection, maintenance, and repair projects
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors during drilling and sampling operations
• Assist with asbestos inspections and sampling activities
• Record field observations and maintain accurate project documentation
• Prepare technical reports and supporting project deliverables
• Work closely with project managers and senior technical staff to support client needs

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Ecology, Biology, or a related field
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Willingness to perform field work in varying weather and site conditions
• Ability to travel locally throughout Virginia and surrounding areas; field work will comprise about 80% of the role
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
