We are seeking a motivated, organized, strategic teammate to join our Operations Team as an Inventory Control Specialist
. This role will be focused on inventory cycle counts and audits and reporting, analyzing, and identifying areas of improvement.
The Inventory Control Specialist records purchases, and maintains inventory in Threads ERP software. This role performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels. Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages. Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods. Re‑stocks items as necessary. Sets up physical inventory locations in the warehouse as well as labels shelves, as well as slotting analysis and pick face planning.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Observe and monitor operations transactions to ensure Company policy adherence.
- Investigate inventory variance discrepancies and suggest and implement resolutions in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor daily Operational adjustments, research and correct, as necessary.
- Generate reports, perform root cause analysis, and rectify as necessary for the following:
- Integrity Reports
- Transactions.
- Perform daily and month‑end reconciliations.
- Identify areas of improvement for inventory availability to the customer full time.
- Document personnel errors in process steps based on research, as needed.
- Assist in systems testing, as needed.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (Infor M3 a plus but not required).
- Self‑motivated and driven to meet production standards.
- Results driven and solution oriented.
- Experience in a distribution environment.
- Ability to communicate verbally and through writing clearly and with a varied audience.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze data.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
