Overview
A leading organisation is seeking a qualified CA(SA) to join its finance team as a Senior Financial Manager. Reporting directly to senior financial leadership, this role is second-in-command within the finance function and will oversee financial reporting, manage a finance team, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives. This position is ideally suited to an experienced finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information presented to executive management
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes
- Assist in managing the overall finance function and act as a key support to senior financial leadership
- Lead and mentor finance team members, ensuring high levels of performance and accountability
- Monitor and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance reporting
- Partner with operational and executive stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting functions
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation, and corporate governance requirements
- Qualified CA(SA) is essential
- 10–15 years of finance and accounting experience
- Minimum 5 years management experience within a finance environment
- Proven experience in a senior financial management role
- Strong financial reporting experience is non-negotiable
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing finance functions
- Experience with in the property or development sector will be advantageous
- Strong systems and computer literacy
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, reporting standards, and business operations
- Proven track record of stability and long-term tenure within previous roles
- Adaptable and able to navigate change effectively
- Quick thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Results-driven and motivated by high-performance standards
- Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexible and proactive approach to challenges and opportunities
