Overview

A leading organisation is seeking a qualified CA(SA) to join its finance team as a Senior Financial Manager. Reporting directly to senior financial leadership, this role is second-in-command within the finance function and will oversee financial reporting, manage a finance team, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives. This position is ideally suited to an experienced finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information presented to executive management
  • Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes
  • Assist in managing the overall finance function and act as a key support to senior financial leadership
  • Lead and mentor finance team members, ensuring high levels of performance and accountability
  • Monitor and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance reporting
  • Partner with operational and executive stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting functions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation, and corporate governance requirements
Job Experience and Skills Required
  • Qualified CA(SA) is essential
  • 10–15 years of finance and accounting experience
  • Minimum 5 years  management experience within a finance environment
  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role
  • Strong financial reporting experience is non-negotiable
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing finance functions
  • Experience with in the property or development sector will be advantageous
  • Strong systems and computer literacy
  • Excellent understanding of financial controls, reporting standards, and business operations
  • Proven track record of stability and long-term tenure within previous roles
