Head of Finance Operations | Construction and Renewable Energy Sector

About the Role

A leading organisation within the Construction and Renewable Energy sector is seeking an experienced Head of Operational Finance to lead its finance function across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

The Head of Operational Finance will be responsible for managing the full financial accounting function across all group entities, leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.

• Manage the full financial accounting function across all group entities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning
• Drive monthly project financial reviews with senior leadership
• Ensure IFRS compliance and regulatory adherence
• Oversee debtors, creditors, accounting functions, and asset management
• Perform variance analysis and provide strategic financial insights
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Support business growth through financial reporting, controls, and process improvements

• Minimum 6 years' post-articles experience
• At least 4 years' experience managing and leading finance teams
• Construction industry experience, ideally within Industrial and Renewable Energy projects

• Strong cash flow modelling and financial forecasting experience
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15
• Strong understanding of South African tax legislation

• International experience (Mozambique, Namibia, Mauritius, Kenya, UAE)
