Are you ready to lead the financial stewardship of a major logistics and supply chain organisation that plays a vital role in South Africa's economy? Our client, a well-established player with a complex operational footprint and a significant fixed asset portfolio, is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to oversee fixed assets and reporting functions. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and ensure financial integrity across a dynamic enterprise.
WhatYou'll Do:
- Lead and govern the fixed asset accounting function in line with IFRS and company policies.
- Oversee capitalisation, depreciation, impairment, revaluation, and disposal accounting.
- Maintain the integrity and completeness of the fixed asset register.
- Lead physical asset verification and reconciliation processes.
- Partner with Operations, Procurement, and Projects on capital expenditure treatment.
- Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and investigate variances.
- Prepare, review, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate fixed asset balances, disclosures, and statutory reporting inputs.
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Provide reporting inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Produce management reporting and financial insights relating to capital investment and asset performance.
- Act as a key finance contact for internal and external audits.
- Strengthen financial controls and address audit findings and control deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and internal governance standards.
- Provide financial guidance to business stakeholders on asset-related matters.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members within the Fixed Assets and Reporting function.
- Drive process improvement, accountability, and technical capability across the team.
- CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- 5-8 years' post-qualification experience in financial reporting and/or fixed asset management.
- Strong experience managing complex fixed asset portfolios within a large corporate environment.
- Proven statutory reporting and audit management experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IAS 16.
- Proficiency in Asset Management, Financial Reporting, IT Management, and SAP.
- IFRS standards and compliance.
- SAP ERP systems.
- Asset management best practices.
- A competitive salary package of R700,000 to R900,000 per annum (Cost to Company).
