Finance Manager: Fixed Assets and Reporting | | Permanent

Our client, a well-established player with a complex operational footprint and a significant fixed asset portfolio, is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to oversee fixed assets and reporting functions. • Lead and govern the fixed asset accounting function in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Oversee capitalisation, depreciation, impairment, revaluation, and disposal accounting.
• Maintain the integrity and completeness of the fixed asset register.
• Lead physical asset verification and reconciliation processes.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, and Projects on capital expenditure treatment.
• Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and investigate variances.
• Prepare, review, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate fixed asset balances, disclosures, and statutory reporting inputs.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Provide reporting inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Produce management reporting and financial insights relating to capital investment and asset performance.
• Act as a key finance contact for internal and external audits.
• Strengthen financial controls and address audit findings and control deficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and internal governance standards.
• Provide financial guidance to business stakeholders on asset-related matters.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members within the Fixed Assets and Reporting function.
• Drive process improvement, accountability, and technical capability across the team.

• CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• 5-8 years' post-qualification experience in financial reporting and/or fixed asset management.
• Strong experience managing complex fixed asset portfolios within a large corporate environment.
• Proven statutory reporting and audit management experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IAS 16.
• Proficiency in Asset Management, Financial Reporting, IT Management, and SAP.

• A competitive salary package of R700,000 to R900,000 per annum (Cost to Company).
