Financial Accounting Interns

As a Financial Accounting Intern at the Railway Safety Regulator (RSR), you will participate in a structured 24-month internship program designed to provide hands‑on experience in various aspects of financial accounting within the organization. This program aims to enhance your professional skills and prepare you for future career opportunities in the field.

• Financial Reporting:
  Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  Support the budgeting process by collecting and analyzing financial data, and assist in forecasting future financial performance
• Accounts Management:
  Help manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments
• Audit Support:
  Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information
• Compliance and Regulation:
  Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Educational
  
  Qualifications:
  
  Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous
• Citizenship:
  Must be a South African citizen
• Prior Internship
  
  Experience:
  
  Must not have previously participated in an internship program at any public or private institution
