Operations Accountant

We are looking for an Operations Accountant who can bridge the gap between finance and operations, providing meaningful financial insight while driving efficiency, cost control and business performance.

• CA(SA) qualification – essential
• 2 years’ management exposure
• FMCG or Manufacturing experience – essential
• Strong commercial and operational finance exposure
• Proven experience managing budgets, costs and financial performance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills

• Manage and monitor budgets, expenses and operational costs
• Partner with operations to drive cost efficiencies and profitability
• Oversee cash management and cash flow forecasting
• Analyse operational and financial performance and provide actionable insights
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts and management reports
• Monitor variances against budget and investigate key cost drivers
• Support operational decision-making through financial analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and financial performance
• Provide financial guidance to operational management
• Manage and monitor key financial and operational KPIs
• Assist with strategic planning and business performance initiatives
• Lead and develop team members while providing hands‑on management support

We are looking for a commercially minded CA(SA) who understands that operational finance is about more than reporting numbers. You should be comfortable working closely with operations, challenging costs, improving processes and using financial information to influence business decisions.
