Freedom Stationery is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and control warehouse operations at our Midrand Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient inbound and outbound logistics, accurate inventory control, effective team supervision, and consistent service delivery in line with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch activities

  • Supervise order pickers, forklift drivers, general workers, receiving clerks, and drivers

  • Ensure accurate inventory control, bin location management, and regular stock counts

  • Investigate and report overstock, shortages, damages, and obsolete stock

  • Coordinate efficient and timely truck loading and delivery schedules

  • Monitor staff performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions where required

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and ISO 9001:2015 standards

  • Maintain warehouse documentation, equipment registers, and operational records

  • Prepare and submit monthly operational and statistical reports

  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, transport contractors, and customers

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

  • Diploma in Logistics / Warehouse Management (advantageous)

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role

  • Proven experience in stock control, warehouse systems, and fleet coordination

  • Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems)

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
