dis-chem pharmacies’ distribution centre in midrand has an opportunity available for an inbound supervisor to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to achieve operational excellence within the dis-chem warehouse by performing a supervisory functions within the receiving, returns, pack-away department, in order to meet both legal and customer requirements.
minimum requirements – essential- grade 12 / matric with english and mathematics
- 1 years relevant experience, in a distribution, logistics or supply chain environment
- supply-chain or logistics degree or diploma
- previous work experience in an ethical/pharmaceutical warehouse
- ensure that the receiving department adheres to the accurate verifying, scanning and capturing of physical goods receipts for the warehouse in accordance with company policy and standard operating procedures.
- ensure that the quantities delivered, correspond with the invoice.
- ensure all hu`s are double checked by another clerk, before being released for pack‑away.
- assist the receiving manager in preparing and logging warehouse claims on the warehouse claims system.
- despatch all returns that are to be uplifted by a supplier on presentation of a pick‑up slip in accordance with company policy and standard operating procedures.
- accept and be accountable for all goods received.
- ensure that all administration is accurate and up to date – example chep documents, grn notes filed.
- claim for all shortages and damages, within the suppliers prescribed time period.
- ensure that all stock is packed away neatly and professionally.
- ensure that all physical controls over the goods receiving area are in place and operating in accordance with company policy and standard operating procedures.
- ensure the receiving areas and storerooms, are in an acceptable an orderly condition.
- manage and control high risk / sensitive stock, temperature sensitive and high value stock.
- take responsibility for your immediate surrounding and prevent any possible losses.
- good judgement in order to understand the consequential impacts of decisions made
