Technical Sales Representative

GC Solar is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our Cape Town branch, based at East Precinct,Montague Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for drivingtechnical sales across our full product range, focusing on product specification, new business development, and project implementation forend-user clients in the electrical and infrastructure sectors.

GC Solar is a leading national supplier and solardistributor since 2011, based in Johannesburg and in Cape Town. We provide cutting-edge renewable energy products. Our dedicated team offers exceptionalafter-sales support and technical services, especially in the commercialsector. With a focus on sustainability, we have a team of engineers and supplysolutions for utilities, mines, and commercial buildings, leading the way in South Africa’s solar energy transition.

• Proactively identify and engage with new clients
• Maintain and grow strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and key industry stakeholders

• Prepare technical proposals, tenders, andquotations
• Conduct on-site technical presentations and product demos
• Represent GC Solar at industry events, expos,and customer meetings

• Oversee project implementation, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance
• Ensure technical requirements are met throughaccurate product specification

• Maintain detailed records of sales activities inGC Solar’s CRM system
• Submit regular performance and pipeline reportsto management

• N4or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field

• Minimum 1 year in a technical sales environment
• Proven track record in product specification and project-based sales
• Experience in the South African electrical industry is a strong advantage

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Detail-oriented with accurate administrative and reporting habits

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required
• Flexibility to work extended hours when needed

• Base salary: R25,000 – R 35,000 /month
• Commission based on performance
