Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Technician specializing in electrical systems to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical equipment and infrastructure across various client sites. You will be the frontline technical expert, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, playing a key part in maintaining operational continuity for our diverse clientele throughout the Gauteng region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and commission new electrical equipment and systems according to technical specifications and safety regulations.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, malfunctions, and system failures, implementing effective repair solutions promptly.
- Conduct thorough testing and calibration of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and site personnel on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
- Maintain detailed service logs, repair reports, and inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness for service management.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar field service role.
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with common electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics effectively.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel extensively within the designated service area.
