About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Bricklayer to join their dynamic construction team in Midrand . This role is integral to the successful execution of various building projects, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality. You will be working on diverse construction sites, contributing to the development of new structures and renovations. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to producing high-quality brickwork, playing a crucial part in delivering projects on time and to specification, within a company that values safety, craftsmanship, and professional development.

• Interpreting blueprints and drawings to accurately lay out and construct brick walls, partitions, and other structures.
• Mixing mortar and preparing building surfaces according to project specifications.
• Skilledly laying bricks, blocks, and other materials to build and repair walls, foundations, and other structures, ensuring plumb and level results.
• Cutting and shaping bricks and blocks as needed using masonry tools and equipment.
• Ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations on site, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Collaborating effectively with other tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure project timelines are met.

• Proven experience as a Bricklayer or in a similar masonry role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Excellent knowledge of building materials, techniques, and masonry tools.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a construction environment.
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or vocational training program is advantageous.
