POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Sales & Business Development serves as the primary link between Branch Managers, sales personnel, and the Executive Team, overseeing full‑cycle recruiting for Loan Originators, Branch Managers, and potential branch acquisitions while proactively identifying future staffing needs. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic recruiting and business development initiatives, maintaining continuous outreach, partnering with leadership on growth objectives, and supporting a consistent, value‑aligned sales culture across the organization.

The Director ensures effective coordination, communication, and alignment between sales operations and executive priorities while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic, proactive initiatives to attract new Loan Originators, Branch Managers, and full branch teams that align with Veritas Funding's market footprint and business goals.
  • Create and execute plans to attract and engage individuals with targeted skills and experience, building a robust pipeline of qualified talent.
  • Implement diverse sourcing strategies and techniques, including networking, social media outreach, referrals, and database searches, to connect with both active and passive candidates.
  • Conduct outreach to passive candidates using networking, industry involvement, and research-based techniques.
  • Partner closely with HR to identify opportunities to improve recruiting and onboarding processes and support implementation of new strategies.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on recruiting data and trends; recommend and implement adjustments to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous outreach by partnering with Branch Managers to understand staffing needs, track progress, and support recruitment activities.
  • Uphold and model Veritas Funding's culture, values, and long‑term vision across all recruitment and business development interactions.
  • Support and reinforce the effective use of Veritas technology platforms to enhance productivity, communication, and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to evaluate data, assess talent, anticipate downstream impacts, and identify recruiting and business development opportunities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with candidates, Branch Managers, sales teams, and Executive leadership.
  • High attention to detail combined with strong organizational, planning, and time‑management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships, including networking, candidate engagement, and industry outreach.
  • Professionalism, patience, and discretion when interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including handling confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong analytical abilities, including understanding recruitment metrics, evaluating trends, and applying insights to improve processes.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative while also collaborating effectively with cross‑functional partners.
  • Skilled in sourcing strategies, social media outreach, and leveraging technology to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • High ethical standards and alignment with company values, including integrity, accountability, and a commitment to organizational culture.
  • Proficiency with data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn and utilize CRM, ATS, and other recruiting‑related systems.
  • Intermediate math proficiency for evaluating compensation structures, tracking metrics, and reviewing recruiting‑related data.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field preferred.
