Experienced Dental Insurance Specialist

At Utah Smile Clinic, we are passionate about transforming lives through exceptional dental care. We are seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in helping patients maximize their insurance benefits and access life-changing treatment.

Position Overview

As our Dental Insurance Specialist, you will work on-site with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate insurance processing, timely reimbursement, and outstanding support for our patients. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of dental insurance plans, claims management, and accounts receivable follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and document dental insurance benefits and coverage
  • Submit dental insurance claims and electronic attachments
  • Prepare detailed narratives to support claim submissions
  • Process pre-authorizations and predeterminations
  • Research and resolve denied or delayed claims
  • Prepare and submit insurance appeals
  • Post insurance payments accurately
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims and accounts receivable
  • Communicate effectively with insurance carriers, patients, and team members
  • Maintain accurate patient insurance records and documentation
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of dental insurance, billing, or claims management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, procedures, and terminology
  • Experience with insurance verification, claim submission, and appeals
  • Excellent problem-solving and claims resolution skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient service
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
