At Utah Smile Clinic, we are passionate about transforming lives through exceptional dental care. We are seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in helping patients maximize their insurance benefits and access life-changing treatment.
Position OverviewAs our Dental Insurance Specialist, you will work on-site with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate insurance processing, timely reimbursement, and outstanding support for our patients. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of dental insurance plans, claims management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
Key Responsibilities- Verify and document dental insurance benefits and coverage
- Submit dental insurance claims and electronic attachments
- Prepare detailed narratives to support claim submissions
- Process pre-authorizations and predeterminations
- Research and resolve denied or delayed claims
- Prepare and submit insurance appeals
- Post insurance payments accurately
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims and accounts receivable
- Communicate effectively with insurance carriers, patients, and team members
- Maintain accurate patient insurance records and documentation
- Minimum 2+ years of dental insurance, billing, or claims management experience required
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, procedures, and terminology
- Experience with insurance verification, claim submission, and appeals
- Excellent problem-solving and claims resolution skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient service
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Full-time employment
- Competitive pay starting at $22+/hour DOE (higher compensation considered for experienced candidates)
