We are seeking a Credit Manager to join Zions Bank in Midvale, UT. The Credit Manager plays a key role in managing departmental lending activities, developing strategic policies, and leading teams to resolve complex credit challenges.
Responsibilities- Manage the daily activities of the assigned business functional area, providing leadership without requiring considerable direction.
- Determine goals and objectives for the department and provide input into budgets and staffing.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, processes, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Develop resolutions to complex lending problems that require the frequent use of creativity and judgment within broadly defined practices.
- Interact with management, personnel, and clients on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines, including customer negotiations.
- Motivate staff and influence other employees or managers using strong interpersonal skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires a Bachelor s degree in finance, business or a related field and 4+ years of lending, credit or underwriting practices and techniques, banking or other directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
- Managerial experience preferred.
- Requires solid working knowledge of lending and credit theories and concepts and how they related to the banking or financial industry.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of overall lending policies and procedures, credit analysis, underwriting, and structuring.
- Exhibit advanced analytical and problem resolution skills, along with an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in decision making.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, and require an in-depth knowledge of other related fields.
