The Director of Family Support Services
- Utah, for Raise the Future (Raise) facilitates program development, leads strategic program growth, and provides oversight of a comprehensive continuum of family support services, including training, in-home coaching, resource coordination, and clinical services for youth and families. Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, this role ensures high-quality delivery of programmatic and contracted services across designated geographic areas; supervises staff and managers;
oversees contracts, budgets, Utah Medicaid billing (including foster care and post-adoption services), and third-party vendors; and builds partnerships that strengthen services and expand impact. The Director maintains accountability for the full family support system while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth, and may also carry a limited caseload and provide direct services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and execution to advance program growth, sustainability, and service expansion.
- Oversee family support services, including clinical therapy, mentoring, coaching, and training programs.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations, licensing standards, contracts, and organizational policies.
- Manage program operations, including budgets, contracts, performance outcomes, and resource allocation.
- Oversee billing processes and vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant Medicaid reimbursement.
- Analyze program, finance, and utilization data to improve performance, outcomes, and revenue optimization.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- Represent the organization through outreach, presentations, and collaboration initiatives.
- Develop policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to strengthen program effectiveness.
Leadership & Supervision:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams across programs and regions.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable work culture.
- Ensure staff adherence to evidence-based, trauma-informed practices and documentation standards.
- Support workforce planning, staff development, and cross-program collaboration.
Financial & Operational Oversight:
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements, including reporting and deliverables.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and billing processes to maintain financial health and sustainability.
- Partner with finance and leadership teams on strategic budgeting and resource allocation.
Required Education/Training/
Experience:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, human development, or human services related field.
- Eligible for licensure in the state of Utah as an LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC.
- 5+ years' experience working in adoption, child welfare or related area.
- 2+ years of program development and program management experience.
- Experience managing contracts, grants, program budgets, and performance outcomes.
- 2+ years' experience managing others.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Up to 50% travel is required.
- Must have dependable car and be insurable as a driver on the auto liability policy of Raise the Future.
- Additional qualifications may be required, depending on the program that the position will oversee.
- Available to work in a hybrid position in office 2 days a week and must work within 45 miles of the Utah office
