What You’ll Do- Conduct wetland and stream delineations, support permitting for Waters of the U.S., perform threatened and endangered species and habitat assessments, and support preparation of NEPA documents.
- Collaborate with regional professionals, including archaeologists, to deliver multidisciplinary solutions for clients.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement technical requirements for Environmental Planning projects by conducting site visits, overseeing field staff, collecting and analyzing data on stream, wetland, vegetation, and habitat characteristics, and documenting results.
- Apply strong understanding of Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements, especially those pertaining to Utah and Idaho.
- Conduct research and analyze data from desktop reviews using existing databases, maps, and aerial photos.
- Collaborate with department managers and environmental staff across Utah, Idaho, and Rocky Mountain Division to develop clients and grow services in the Intermountain region.
- Support preparation of project proposals, including scope of work and fee.
- Employ best practices for risk management and loss prevention, following company risk policies.
- Lead safety efforts for project teams and ensure adherence to safety rules and guidelines.
- Prepare Statements of Qualifications and proposals, identify new professional service opportunities, and author technical reports.
- Maintain professional relationships with regulatory personnel, prospective clients, and other natural resource professionals.
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Botany, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Hydrology, or related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in wetland science, biology, habitats, project management, and/or environmental regulations and permitting.
- Proficiency in delineating Waters of the U.S. (including streams and wetlands) and understanding federal and state assessment and rating systems.
- Willingness to learn Federal, State (UT and ), and local environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office; experience with electronic document preparation desirable.
- Holding species‑specific permits such as 10(a) scientific study permits is desirable.
- Experience with solar, transmission line, commercial projects, and data centers is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
