The Apprentice Carpenter I–II works alongside experienced carpenters and project leaders performing a wide variety of residential and commercial construction tasks. This position is designed for individuals who already possess a solid construction foundation and are eager to continue developing their skills in all aspects of remodeling.
ResponsibilitiesApplicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Proficiency reading a tape measure accurately.
- Comfortable and safe operation of common hand tools and basic power tools.
- Physical ability to lift materials, work on ladders, kneel, climb, and perform construction work throughout the day.
- Familiarity with construction terminology, jargon, and jobsite communication.
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Reliable transportation to assigned job sites.
Preferred Experience
- Residential framing
- Finish carpentry
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical
- HVAC fundamentals
- Drywall and painting
- Flooring installation
- Cabinet installation and trim work
You don't need to be an expert in every trade, but you should have a solid understanding of how they work together during a remodel.
