Material Handler
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for moving, organizing, and tracking materials within the warehouse. Duties include pulling and staging materials for orders, loading and unloading trucks, operating pallet jacks, and recording inventory transactions in the ERP system. This role helps maintain accurate inventory, supports work orders, and ensures materials are stored correctly. The position requires attention to safety, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Forklift experience or willingness to be trained is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handles, moves, and stores various materials within a warehouse environment.
- Pull materials from warehouse rack locations, record all transactions in ERP system.
- Manage, monitor, record material movement in ERP or via physical document, as required.
- Move materials to and from operations locations, as needed, to support Work Orders.
- Monitors material inventory accuracy and ensures proper status is assigned in ERP.
- Ensure materials are in proper ERP (virtually) and physically in warehouse rack locations.
- Inspect and operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Load and unload materials from transport vehicles as required.
- Pull correct items from warehouse locations to support orders; stage them for packing.
- Identify and suggest Process Improvement opportunities.
- Assist in general housekeeping, including sweeping and cleaning areas within or around the warehouse.
- Be familiar with the organization structure and their associated functions.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by Team Leads and Warehouse Manager.
- WHS Material Handler Levels awarded based on experience and responsibility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory management or a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30 PM. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be requested based on business needs.
Hourly Rate: $18.00/hr
