Job Description
The Pawnee State Recreation Area and Salt Valley SRA’s are currently seeking a welcoming, team‑oriented, and customer‑focused person to join the team as an Office Specialist. In this position you will lead the office and kiosk operations, share park information, and elevate guest experiences through sales and administrative support for the Salt Valley State Recreation Areas (Bluestem SRA, Conestoga SRA, Olive Creek SRA, Pawnee SRA, Stagecoach SRA, and Wagon Train SRA).
Job Duties- Provide park information and related services to visitors by phone, email, and in‑person inquiries.
- Oversee permit sales and camping reservations.
- Perform office duties such as deposits, processing invoices and purchase logs, creating financial reports, and record‑keeping.
- Lead, supervise, and train seasonal kiosk staff.
- Maintain accurate financial records, cash handling, reports, and other procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Support park staff and events with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Coursework or training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or related experience.
- Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.
Other: Driver's license is required.
Skills and Abilities- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public to exchange information and establish working relationships.
- File, maintain, and retrieve records using established computer systems, handle multiple tasks, and operate computer, reservation, and POS systems.
- Train staff in park office policies and procedures.
- Ability to be flexible with hours and work weekends and holidays.
